our news

Hi Everyone!
It has been a while since we have updated this. In the last few months since the last update we moved into our new house. We also found out that I am pregnant with twins!! I have spent the last few months with morning sickness. I think I'm finally pulling out of it. Our babies are due in May. Carol Lin is very excited. She has informed me that since she already has a sister she wants 2 brothers and she wants to call one of the Hank. We'll see. So far we don't know the genders yet but we might find out next month.

Framing our house.

Well it is starting to look like a house now. They started framing about two weeks ago and it looks like the framing is complete and they are ready to move onto some of the more functional elements (plumbing, heating/AC, electric). Here are a few pictures of how it went together.

They've filled in the rest of the framing and put tar paper on the roof. it looks like I will have to take another picture. To get this up to date.

Foundation

Well I know it doesn't look like much yet but this is our house. It is only a foundation and a slab for the garage. I still think it is amazing that in July we will have our very own home. What did we do to deserve this?

I'll keep you posted.

Chris
We went to Utah in February for a business trip. We were able to stay with Chris' family. Even though we all had terrible colds it was fun to visit. Chris also was able to defend his thesis. He did a wonderful job!
We are sorry we have been so bad at updating this blog. We hope our following posts will make up for it.

House Hunting

Well, our quest to own a house is on. We are pre-approved for a mortgage and yesterday we reserved a lot. It is about 1/4 acre in a cul de sac with no neighbors in the back. Now we just need to choose a floor plan and a bunch of other stuff. We'll fill in pictures and such as we go on.

family update

Hi friends and family,
We hope news from our blog will keep us a little closer to all of you. Our girls are growing so fast. Carol Lin just turned 3 and Emma is almost 6 months old. They are a lot of fun. Emma likes to sit and play with toys. Carol Lin loves to go outside and play in the snow. Chris and I are doing well. Chris is hoping to finish up his thesis in February. I am busy keeping up with my girls.
